Behind The Lens
Wondering who I am? I am a free spirited, quirky, nature and music loving human with a colorful personality. I love to laugh and make the most of my time by doing what I love with the ones I love. In my free time, I am singing, playing piano, writing music, hiking out in the mountains with my partner Josh and our 2 little girls.
I enjoy a slower rhythm of life and I find a lot of joy in simple pleasures. We live in such a fast paced society that we sometimes forget to just be. There is beauty in being able to feel and create deep connections that is sadly lost among many people in day to day life. I spend my days doing my best at teaching these principles to my daughter and raising my beautiful, smart and amazing little human, Audrey to to take up space and to honor her emotions.
you are everything you've ever needed.
As the seasons in our lives change, our bodies do too and that is a beautiful privilege worth capturing.
I want to know your story and portray your journey through art. Anyone can create a posed untrue version of yourself, but I want to go much deeper than that.
My mission is to help women tap into a deep source of self acceptance and love through intimate portraiture.
What led me to photography was at the age of 12, I wanted to give my mom a mothers day gift she would love. I photographed beautiful flowers from our backyard garden, framed it and she was in love with it. For the first time, I learned what it felt like to share how I viewed and honored the beauty of this world. This experience led me to the art of photography and my love for it continued to grow.
I didn't initially start with boudoir photography and when I started my business in 2020 I began with weddings and family sessions, offering my work for free or heavily discounted to build my portfolio. I stumbled upon boudoir when an old friend asked me if I would be willing to give it shot, and of course, I said yes! Seeing her reaction to her photos and watching her confidence grow throughout the session was when I realized that I need to pursue this genre of photography.
Starting my business and venturing into boudoir photography was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Where do I begin? My self love journey has come so far and continues to evolve and change as I grow. What I considered self love 10 years ago, I don't as much now and exercise different daily habits that serve me and make me feel the best that I can. I spent years with more bad body image days then good days due to high beauty standards pushed on women and being diagnosed with PCOS. My symptoms left me feeling hopeless and I didn't no where to begin to feel like myself again. After years of experimenting what worked for me, I have learned to live with my new normal and learned to love my body again.
Acts of self love will look different for everyone, and for me, I learned to really enjoy cooking delicious and nourishing meals, relaxing in the bath with some bubbles, and getting outdoors. Although I have my not so good days from time to time, like everyone, I am able to shift my inner dialog by honoring my momentary emotion, giving it it's place and then letting it go, not allowing it to take over.
By capturing the authentic beauty of each woman that I have the pleasure of working with, I witness massive confidence shifts within their session from start to finish. It is such an honor to be a part of a self love journey and by providing this experience, I continue to grow and love myself even more. It is very true when they say that you become your surroundings because if you surround yourself with loving, caring, and empowering people and environments, you too will become that.
